I'm helping a less computer literate friend.  Unfortunately I can't be at
her house - this is by phone only - and she has Outlook while I have Outlook
Express.

She wants to export some of her contacts to a file to give to a co-worker to
be imported.  She has exported to a CSV file, but it appears to have all her
contacts, not just the ones from one folder.  I looked in the CSV file and
see no mention of the folder name anywhere, so I can't edit it down to the
correct contacts.  Anyone know what we need to do?  Outlook 2000.  thank you

Have her create a FILE | NEW | "Personal Folders File"
Then Copy the contacts to a Contacts type folder in the pst file.

Then she can send the PST file to her co-worker to open and
copy from. (Or save the .PST file to a floppy to give to her
co-worker)

Thanks Nikki.  Thanks for the quick response!  I'm a little confused by the
second statement: "Copy the contacts to a Contacts type folder in the pst
file".  Can you elaborate?

When you create a new folder in Outlook you need to
specify the TYPE of folder being created:

Right-Click the Top Level Folder and select NEW FOLDER...
Type a name for your new folder in the NAME: text box
Then in the FOLDER CONTAINS: text box select
   CONTACT ITEMS
