I have been using BCM for about 30 days. I have around
2000 contacts. The program seems to run extremly slow.
When searching for a contact or adding a note to a
contact. When using Outlook XP I did not have this
problem is there anything I can to speed up CBM?
Thanks
Bill

More memory or a faster machine? It's hard to know with no system details.
There's nothing configurable in BCM to affect speed anyway.

Yes, compared to Outlook, BCM is "slow".  It's a full database
application running on a database server (MSDE) on your computer.  Ther
are very good reasons why that was the chosen architecture.  However,
you do need sufficient memory and CPU power to make it work.

I have 512 mb memory on a 2 ghz laptop and I find performance slow to
start, but once running it's acceptable.  I wish it were faster, but it
isn't.  New software that runs on databases is always sluggish on
"normal" machines. It probably would work better on a real desktop
computer that had a faster disk.  And more memory couldn't hurt.

Hope this is useful to you.  Let us know.
