HOW MANY CONTACTS WILL OUTLOOK 2000 HOLD?
Jocelyn Fiorello [MVP - Outlook] - 04 Feb 2004 05:02 GMT
For future reference -- posting in all caps is considering shouting  :-)

Outlook 2000 has the following limits:

With large table support disabled, which is the default setting on the .PST
file, you can have on the order of 16,000 items per folder, and 16,000
subfolders per folder.  With large table support enabled, which must be
manually applied to the .PST, you can have on the order of 65,000 items per
folder and 65,000 subfolders per folder.

There is also an overall size limit of 2GB for a .PST file (practical limit
is 1.83GB).  Don't get at all close to that limit or you'll start having
major problems -- instead, delete unneeded items and/or archive older items
whenever possible.
