Hi, can anyone tell me if you can change the way contacts are filed in
outlook 2000, without opening each one.
Also - Outlook 2000 with exchange 2000, is there any way to stop people
using their private contacts folder so they have to add contacts to the
shared contacts folder.
Thanks

Sorry,
if you are in outlook 2000 (used with exchange 2000) and you look i
public folders & shared contacts. They appear in alphabetical order
Now if they have been set up to be filed by first name/last name & yo
need to change them all to say 'company name', is there a way to chang
all of the contacts without opening each one & changing the 'file as
tab. You can set all new ones to be filed in that way but I cannot se
a way to change existing ones.
Also connected - is there a way to force people to add any new contact
to the shared contacts folder instead of the contacts folder in thei
mailbox.
Thank

Since you left out the part about these Contacts residing on Exchange
Server, I cannot comment. I can tell you that it requires code to changes
all the File As... fields globally on a PST file. Take a look at this MS KB
article, it may help:
