Deleting Contacts Folder

I have an error in my contacts folder that is rather
strange. I can update existing contacts, but cannot add
or delete them. I have exported the contacts to a .pst,
but cannot re-import them into the folder.

I have run scanpst.exe numerous times and it does not fix
the problem.

So I would like to delete the Contacts folder and import
a new one.

Anybody know how to do that?

You can create a new Contacts folder by going to File -> New -> Folder and
giving it a name such as Contacts1 and then select Contact Items from the
Folder Contains dropdown. You can then have those contacts show up in the
address book by right clicking the folder and Select Properties. Then
Select the Outlook Address Book tab and make sure the box is check to
display this folder as an address book. Then on the old Contacts folder
right click and Select Properties and uncheck the same box on the Outlook
Address Book tab so that the old folder will not show up in the address
book. Unfortunately there is not a way to delete the default Contacts
folder without creating a new Personal Folder file.

I hope this information is helpful.
