I get this message with a grey screen when I try to
display the main Contacts list.  The folder list under
Contacts won't expand to other sub-folders. I'm running
Office 2000 on Windows XP Prof.
The contacts and the sub-folders are there, (they can be
seen when checking email addresses) but not displayable.

Are you using a .PST file?  If so, try running the Inbox Repair Tool against
it to see if it finds any errors.  Search your drive for a file called
scanpst.exe and run it.

>Thanks Joceyln, I found that and ran it on my pst files;
it found a few minor errors on some, but the  problem is
still there
