Odd Question

I am trying to import a text-delimited file into ACT!5 to avoid a lot of
manual entry and then want to import that into Outlook ( to ultimately
then merge into a new Palm o/s 5 handheld ).

Problem is, since I loaded the Palm desktop, when I try to import into
ACT!5, I choose import, text-delimited, and the drop down box will not
let me pick my delimited .txt file because the @#%!!SOB drop down box
will only show ( or recognize ) .Palm extension files.

I am banging, let me rephrase that - smashing my head against the wall
with this one.  I am guessing there is some way to change the file
association thing going here but then I run out of intellectual gas.

Any takers???

Since your question is about Act! and Palm, it is indeed odd to find it
posted in an Outlook forum. Have you considered renaming the file to use the
extension that your program wants?

Why not skip the intermediate steps and import directly into Outlook?
