You obviously weren't using the Outlook Address Book in Outlook 2000.
Perhaps you were using IMO mode, which was a simpler Outlook version that
used the Windows Address Book because it could not support the Outlook
Address Book.
Your question is unrelated to the thread. You are expecting Outlook's rules
automatically to keep track of a user who changes his email address without
your need to update the rule? Now there's a new request. You can send
Outlook feature requests to mswish@microsoft.com with "Outlook" in the
subject and to outwish@microsoft.com

> The problem (and yes it is a problem) that I have is when you set up a rule you should be able to say - 'move everything from Bob Jones to the
folder Friends.' If Bob Jones has more than one email you have to say 'move
everything from Bob Jone (email 1) or Bob Jones (email 2)....'. And if Bob
changes his email address you have to update this rule once you've updated
the contact.
> Why can't I just group all contacts from a single person? When sending an email it should simply list Bob Jones, and if Bob has more than one email
either default to the most recently used, or enable me to right click on him
in the TO field and choose an alternative one. I'm sure this is how it
worked in OL2000.
