Sorry about that -- I forgot you were using Outlook 2003. You can find the
Folder List button in the Navigation Pane (and this you can enable from the
View menu if it's not already showing). If the Folder List button does not
appear at the bottom of the Nav. Pane, click the double arrows (the tooltip
will say "Configure Buttons"), click Add or Remove Buttons, and add the
Folder List button. Since Outlook 2003 gives you easy access to different
folder types by group, it may be easier to view the whole folder list at
once so you can see all folders in one view, like you did in earlier Outlook
versions. Since you're looking for Contacts folders specifically, you can
also click the Contacts button to see all open Contacts folders.
It really shouldn't be as hard as it has been for you to back up and restore
Outlook data. Have you already seen this article?

Yes i have seen that link you posted, however I dont
think it applies to this problem because it lists .pab
files and I looked everywhere for them. I dont think that
applies to outlook 2003. I did find the folder list and
my contacts are there. Adress book still does not work
but contacts are there.
If outlook is going to place everything in one
file/filetype with .pst why dosent it appear as it did
with my last installation of outlook 2003? This is
really poor design to have to re-do all my rules and the
way I had outlook setup. Not to mention I have to use
some kind of "trick" to get my address book to work.
This is nuts!!

A .PAB is a separate Personal Address Book file and it isn't really needed
in Outlook anymore -- in fact, I don't think it's been widely used since
Outlook 97. It was replaced by the Outlook Address Book which is just a
separate view of your Contacts folder(s), instead of a standalone file. See
http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/olwhypab.htm and also click the link in
the More Information section of that article.
FYI -- I'm going out of town and may not be able to get back to this thread
soon, so if you're still having trouble and I don't reply, you may want to
start a new thread. My apologies...
