global remove United States of America

When we upgraded to putting our Contacts on the server,
it added United States of America to each contact.  We'd
like to remove that.  Is there any way short of deleting
it in each of our contacts?

No, not really. Nor is there any need to. Instead, configure how addresses
are inserted. To learn about ways to control how an Address is inserted into
Word from Outlook, take a look here:
