Hi

Can anyone help me please with my contacts problem?

I am running Outlook 2003. When I create a new email and click on the
"To..." button to enter an address from my contacts list, a horrible rude
window pops up with the following message:

.........The address list could not be displayed. The Contents folder
associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove
this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Office Outlook
Help.................

I am sorry to say but I found the Microsoft Help a little complicated. I do
not remember assigning permissions to anyone or anything let alone know how
to do so. Incidentally, if I click on Tools\Address book, I get the same
error as above.

Further, my contacts are there, if I click on the Contacts bar on the left
pane they are all there. How can I get these contacts linked back to the
"To..." button?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Sue H

Choose Tools | Email Accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books. If you don't see Outlook Address Book, add it. If you do,
close that dialog and bring up the Properties for your Contacts folder. Make
sure the Outlook Address Book box is checked.
