vCards in Outlook 2003--Build 11.5608.5606

From earlier posts I see that there is a problem with how
Outlook 2003--Build 11.5608.5606 handles the information
put in the Notes area of a vCard--it strips it out.
However, Outlook 2003--Build 11.0.5608.5703 permits
information put in the Notes area of a vCard to stay when
the vCard is sent or received.

Any news on whether this issue with Build 11.5608.5606
will be fixed in an upcoming service pack?  Also, I have
clients still getting Build 11.5608.5606 when they buy
computers at retail eventhough Build 11.5608.5703 is a
more recent build?  Any idea why that is?

Office 2003 Service Pack, which was released last week, appears to have
fixed this issue, although it's not listed on the official rundown of fixes.
