I have a user here who is still running NT, she has Office 2000 installed
and in her contacts area has many groups setup. Thing is every day when
the opens outlook she has to re-import her .pst file contacts to be able
to use them, when she closes down at night they go.

Same the next day, re-import her .pst.

Any idea's of how i can get the system to accept them and stay there?

Thanks

Alan

What symptoms make her feel that it's necessary to import her contacts?

Ok i will repeat it, she has setup quite a few mailists (if thats what
they are called) and when she sends a report to one of the lists which
can have say up to 30 email addresses it works fine. BUT, when she closes
down Outlook and comes back in the next day the lists are not there, so she
has to re-import a .pst file's contacts and hey presto they are back and she
can email the groups.

Close down, gone, open up outlook gone, re-import and back they come,
close down gone, open up outlook gone, re-import and back they come.

Now do you see wht its annoying her?

If you can solve this then you will have one happy girl in Oxford UK

Has she created distribution lists in her Contacts folder or "groups" in the
Windows Address Book? The first in the correct procedure.

Distribution lists.

Any idea how to solve the problem?

So are the distribution lists themselves disappearing from the Contacts
folder? (It might be worthwhile to use Advanced Find to double-check.) Or
are they still there, but the membership in the DL is blank? Or are they in
the Contacts folder but not appearing in the address book when she clicks
To?

Also, check Help | About to see whether she's using OL2000 in
Corporate/Workgroup or Internet Mail Only mode.
