MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / August 2004Auto fill in email address as you type?
I have been asked by a customer of mine about being bale to autofill the email address as you type. When using MS Exchange this facility is available. However my customer has 2700 contacts in his addressbook and does not want to scroll through them to find an address. He just wants to start typing the persons name and as he gets part way through he wants Outlook to start auto filling until the correct name / email address is selected. Is there any way of doing this on Outlook 2000. Many thanks in advance for your help. Neil No, autocomplete was added in Outlook 2002. Outlook 2000 uses autoresolution. If you're using OL2000 in Internet Mail Only mode, there is no setting; Outlook automatically resolves against your Contacts folder.
