Check Tools | Options | E-mail Options | Advanced E-mail Options to see
whether "automatic name checking" and "Suggest names" are turned on.
Also, choose Tools | Address Book, then Tools | Options to check which
contact lists are being used for name checking.

Thanks, I check both and all is already checked as you
suggested, also when I go into address book, tools, the
contact list is the only one there. Any other
suggestions. This is Outlook 2002. He was using outlook
2003, but not anymore,long story. Can you advise further
