MS Office Forum / Outlook / Contacts / August 2004Missing categories in Contacts
I have used this program for a long time. One day all of the "Categories" in my Contacts box disappeared. I have checked off the "Categories" option in "View", but they are still not showing up. The Categories exist in other functions in Outlook. Any suggestions on how to get them back? Anyone else have this problem? What do you mean by "my Contacts box"? Do you see the Categories property when you open a contact? I can open each contact individually and see that the Categories property is checked. My question is about the overall Contacts window. This window shows many single- line contacts arranged alphabetically. At one point, the specific categories were also displayed in gray bars which began each individual category.
