Sorting Contacts

I moved my .pst file from one laptop to another.  Both
pc's have Outlook 2002.  After importing the file, when I
open my contacts, they are not sorted alphabetically.
However, when I go to "View" "Current View" "Customize
Current View" and select "Sort" it is set to sort items
by "File AS" and "Ascending."

I can change the sort to "Company" or "Last Name" and it
will sort those just fine.  But when I set it to "File
As" I get a jumbled mess.  And the "File As" field is
utilized on each of my contacts.

Having my contacts out of order is driving me nuts!  Any
assistance is greatly appreciated!!  Thank you.

Specify more clearly the view to which you are referring.
Examine your File As fields and tell us what you see.
Why did you import a PST file? PSTs Outlook's native file format. Next time,
just open it or configure Outlook to use it as its default
