Hi,

I have a spanking new lap top and am running xp
professional. when i double click a vcard that has been
sent to me in an email and click "save and close" it is
not dropping into my contacts. i am checking the "file
as" field to ensure i am looking in the right place. i
can sometimes get round this by double clicking the vcard
attachment and clicking "file" and then "move to folder".
more often than not though this item in the drop down is
not highlighted/in grey and therefore not available,

can anyone help?

many thanks

Are you sure it's a vCard .vcf file and not an embedded Outlook contact
item? If it's the latter, you'll need to drag it to your Contacts folder or
use File | Copy to folder.
