When I compose new e-mail, although my global address book
(internal firm provided) is accessible, if I click
Contacts, it says my contacts are not accessible as they
are not linked.

I have tried to figure out, to no avail, how exactly do I
make my list of contacts accessible as an option when
writing an e-mail?

I can click a Contact and write new email THAT way.  But I
cannot click Address book icon in compose new and access
antyhing but the firm global.   How do I make it see my
Contacts?

Configure your Contacts Folder to appear in the Outlook Address Book. If you
do not know how, post your Outlook version. We can't guess it.
