I just updated to Microsoft Outlook from Works.  I have
used a Works database for years for my customers and
prospective customers.  Can I merge the old Works
Database into my new "Contacts" file in Microsoft
Outlook?  Or, am I destined to recopy everything into the
new file manually?

Thank you for the answer.

The question really is what you can export from your Works database that is
relevant to Outlook. Since you don't mention which Works versions etc (but
admittedly - it's not a DB format we pay much (any?) attention to - we only
have the latest version installed somewhere on our systems and I personally
haven't looked at it in a very, very long time) - the generic answer is -
there is (should be) an export capability to a format compatible with
Outlook (such as .CSV) so export the info required and import the resulting
file in Outlook at which point you should be all set.

If you have custom field info however, there is no way to import that using
the standard Outlook wizard (in any file format) . You'll need a 3rd party
product (such as ours - see URL in sig line) or alternatively there may be
other options on the Slipstick site (http://www.slipstick.com).
