I used to have an item under 'insert' on the toolbar that
opened my outlook files so I could insert such things as a
contact or something from my drafts, for example. How do I
get this feature back? I think it disappeared when I
switched from HTML to plain perhaps?
Thank you.

Rather hard to say when you don't post your Outlook version and the editor
you are using.
Did you look in the Attachment (Paper Clip) dropdown for the Insert Item...
command?
