I click on New Mail Message to compose, then the To...
button to bring up the Address Book.  In the field, Show
Names from the:, I select Contacts.  The view shows Name,
Display Name, E-mail Address, and E-mail Type.  What ever
happened to the File As field?  How can I add it in
Outlook 2003 running Exchange 2003?  I want to be able to
see the File As with name and company name when I look in
my Contacts when composing a message.  Or is there any
other way to sort by company other than going into the
Contacts folder to look up the company name first before
composing an e-mail.  That just seems ridiculous. Outlook
XP with Exhange 2000 used to have the File As field.
Thanks.

Nothing has changed. The column headers never said "File As"
You can still sort by the File As field, however.
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there

Thanks, but when I go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or
change existing directories or address
>books > Outlook Address Book > Change, the only thing I
can change is Show names by first last (John Smith) or
File As (Smith, John.  My question is how do I get a field
to show the same information the File As field shows when
I'm composing a message and clicking the To... button that
brings up the address book.  I want to select Contacts and
have the contacts show up with Company Name (Last, First)

It already does. When you select the File As option for sorting, the Files
As field is what shows up in the Name field.
