Is there an option in Outlook 2002 that enables a
recipient's e-mail address to be automatically added to
either the Outlook Contacts or the Personal Address Book?
This is a convenient option in Outlook Express 6.0, but I
haven't been able to find a corresponding function in
OL2002.

No such option, but you could create one with code.

See http://www.slipstick.com/contacts/addauto.htm for various ways to save
senders or recipients as new contacts automatically, depending on your
version and configuration of Outlook.
