Display As issue

I have a user who says she sends out emails, but her
recipients aren't getting them.  there are no error or
bounce messages.  Our ISP noticed that having parentheses
in the "Display As" of the contacts can cause the mail
server some confusion.  Here is an example of one of her
contacts:

Full Name: Maria Elena
Display as: Maria Elena (nospam@someaddie.net)

So, when the user emails Maria, in the To: field, it says
the "Display As" field.  And the email never goes through.

Is this a bug in Outlook?  What can she do?  one option
was for the user to go through her contacts and take out
the text in the "display as".

What about emails she gets from Yahoo Shopping for a order
confirmation?  The original email has the Display As
with "(email@addie.com)".  When she replies to it, same
issue.  Does she just have to remember about the
parentheses issue?

Thanks.

The Display As field would have nothing to do with whether the message is
sent or not. The Email field would. You need to take a closer look at
exactly how these messages are addressed and what happens when they are
sent.
