I'm Using Outlook 2002.  in my contacts folder I enter
new contacts under "full name" as "Firstname Lastname".
in the "file as" box, the data appears as Lastname,
Firstname.  "display as" appears as Lastname, Firstname.
All of this is fine.  However, when I want to add members
to a distribution list and click on "select members", all
contacts come out alphabetical by first name.  so for
example, the 8 members of the "king" family appear all
over the list.  I can't see how to affect this. Help.it's
driving me crazy!

Did you set the Outlook Address Book to sort by the File As... field?
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
