Is there some way?  Or am I relegated to one by one editing?  I've got
roughly 150 contacts that all need the company name changed to the same thing
at the same time.

Turn on Advanced toolbars.

In your Contacts folder change to phone list view.  Now click the Group By
Box and the Field chooser.

Fix 1 contact's details.  e.g. from Acme P/L to ABC Company p/l.

Put the column header for Company name in the Group By box. Now the correct
person will be in a group all by themselves.  Highlight the people grouped
as Acme and drag them to the ABC group.  Done!!

fustrated.  Now I'm happy again;-)
