call a contact

Please help I'm going mad
When I select the call contact item in outlook this is
what happens.
I hear the dial tone then the number being dailed then
absolutly nothing no ringing or engaged signal nothing.
What am I doing wrong

This does not sound like an Outlook problem if the number is passed to the
modem. After that, the Windows dialer takes over. Try an OS group to
troubleshoot.

Dear Russ,

Thanks for your suggestion ... about an OS Group... where Can I find / how
can I find an OS Group... I noticed several of us in here seem to have the
same issue with Outlook Calling... it would be great to find a solution
soon....

Hi Peter,

Did you try the suggestion that wa given to you to try an OS group ? did you
find the solution yet to the problem of calling through Outlook ?

I am encoutering the same problem... so hoping there is a solution out
there...

After placing the call you need to pick up a handset - Outlook doesn't
generally support speaker phone, although some speakerphone modems may in
WinXP.
