I have recently changed my contact list from first name
first(ms default) to last name first. However, when I
create a Distribution List within the contact folder, the
names are still in first name order. How do I change them
to last name first?

You probably can't.
It would depend on your Outlook version and whether the names in the DL are
Contacts in your Contacts Folder or just names in the DL.

Russ, can you elaborate on how to make it sort by last name IF you have a
particular version of OL and what version it needs to be?
I am trying slowly to ween everyone here from using DL lists but in the
meantime I would like to know how to sort the DL by last name.

WinXP/OL2003

Thanks,
Judy
