I changed the e-mail but the change is not reflected in group list

I changed the e-mail contact info but the change did not reflect in a group
that the contacts is in and e-mails are being returned. Doesnt the change
become universal ?

That would depend on your Outlook version and what you mean by "group." Hard
to know what you mean since Outlook does not use groups.
