Hide certain Contact fields in a v-card file?

I want to maintain confidential information for a contact that I don't want
to include when I send a v-card file to persons outside of my company.  What
is the best way to do this?

Save the vCard as a .vcf file to your disk and edit it in Notepad before
sending it.
