Export Distribution list?

Folks:

My client has an extensive Distribution list in Outlook.  I need to have
that list (and only that list) as a CSV file for an email campaign.  How can
I get that?

He has sent me the entire contact list as an XLS file, but I cannot find a
field in that list that would identify the distribution list.  If there is a
way to do that, I would be grateful for some help.  Solving the problem this
way would eliminate my having to bug the client for yet another try! 8)

Ask your client to save the DL as a text file with the File | Save As
command and send that file to you. You can open it in Notepad to clean up
the top a little, then open the cleaned up file in Excel as a tab-delimited
file.

Thank you Sue!

How would he specifically select that DL to export?

Did I say "export"? No. I said use the File | Save As command, which is
available on any open or selected item.

DLs do not export when contacts folders are exported, unless the target is a
.pst file.

Oops!  OK - thanks!  I'll give that one a go.

And, would there be any way to tease the distribution list assignment from
an export of the entire set of contact data?
