Ask your client to save the DL as a text file with the File | Save As
command and send that file to you. You can open it in Notepad to clean up
the top a little, then open the cleaned up file in Excel as a tab-delimited
file.

Thank you Sue!
How would he specifically select that DL to export?

Did I say "export"? No. I said use the File | Save As command, which is
available on any open or selected item.
DLs do not export when contacts folders are exported, unless the target is a
.pst file.

And, would there be any way to tease the distribution list assignment from
an export of the entire set of contact data?
