I am attempting to import a csv file of contacts into Outlook 2002.
It says the translator is not installed and asks if I want to install it.  I
click yes and it looks for a file, asks me for the Office disk and still
can't find it .  It seems to be looking for a SBERET file.  I can't find it
on my hard disk or the Office CD.

Any thoughts?

I had the same issue, but when it "looked for it on my hard disk" it found
it.  I'd try going to control panel, add or remove, then look for the MS
Office program, then select to add/remove.  I believe that this gives you
the option to modify your installation.  Obviously, you don't want to
uninstall your current software so be careful and read the screens.

At some point you should see a list of features and have the option to
select them to run from cd, hardisk, etc.

Give that a try.
