We have tried everything to figure this out. Before we
had Outlook 2003 installed, when typing the recipients
name in the "To" field, it displayed as first and last
name (no email address). Now when you select a name or
type in a name, it defaults back to displaying just an
email address , and does not show the recipient's first
and last name. Someone told me you'd have to write code
to change the display but couldn't some sort of setting
be changed?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Provide enough detail for us to figure out what you want and what you're
asking. What changes did you make to your installation? Are you using
autocompletion or autoresolution? Exactly how are you entering addresses and
what is it you want Outlook to do differently?

Russ is exactly correct. Please provide Outlook ver. prio to upgrade.
Further, please be more specific with your question. It sounds like your
new software is autocompleting where it may have been autoresolving
previously.
Provide more info. here and these folks can help you.

Having to write code is poppycock. I think that your issue is that your
OL2k3 is autocompleting information that is stored in your NK2 file. This
is the cache that holds your autocomplete information. You can edit and or
add or change the records in this file using a utility that we developed for
just such a situation.
Further, once you see what is in this file, you may wish to export the
information, put it into a text editor or Excel type file, and change it the
way that you'd wish to see it. You can then import all of that information
into a contact folder if you wish.
Hope this helps.
