cannot share addressbook

From within Outlook 2000 I cannot export (see my other message "cannot
export to vCard").  While troubleshooting this problem, I tried something
that I apparently cannot reverse ... that is, I found an option which
disabled sharing the addressbook with other capable softwares.  I believe at
the time I could re-enable it, but I cannot find the same "options" I saw
before.

Regarding general access to my addressbook, I can now find nothing in it ...
while my Outlook addressbook is apparently still ok.  A remedy would be to
use the Outlook addressbook to export to a WAB file, but the option is
disabled (see other message).  Better would be to re-enable sharing ... but
how???

I now see this "sharing" option in the addressbook outside of Outlook 2000.
However, I do not dare re-enable sharing an empty ab for fear it will wipe
my Outlook contacts.  I can find no method for exporting my Outlook
contacts.  How do I get contacts into the outside addressbook, so I can
re-enable sharing again??

All that option does is force the WAB to use your Outlook Contacts Folder as
its data source instead of its usual data source (the WAB file). Enable it
if that's what you want to do. It will not affect your Outlook Contacts.
