changing line spacing in notes area of contact cards

When entering notes in the note area of Contacts, sometimes the notes are
single spaced, sometimes they are double spaced. How do I change the doulbe
spacing to single spacing?

Any further suggestions regarding how to change the line spacing in the notes
area of Contacts?

About the only way I've found is to copy the data out to Word or WordPad,
reformat there, then copy it back in.
