When I try to set order of names by clicking coluum
heading all categories disappear showing all contacts.
Example I click the box-File As- and categories disappear.
Can you tell me waht I need to do?
2. the Categories rows are double spaced. I set them to be
single spaced in: arrange by-custom-other settings.
Thanks

You did not specify your Outlook version.
If it is Outlook 2003, it is a bug they haven't fixed yet.
