I need to import my Outlook addresses from an external
harddrive (Backup) but cannot find data folder.

The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored. Only do NOT import it.

files with .pst or .pab extention. I used "Retrospect
5.6" to back up my HD. Are these files not backed up like
other files? Thanks
