Can you copy your Outlook contents to a new computer?

If I buy a new computer can I import an existing Outlook data base, i.e.
contact list, calendar, to do list, etc?  If this is possible how do you do
it?

Yes.
The file you need to transfer is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.
