I want to use Outlook to share contacts amongst our small office. I read that
Shared Point services will accomplish this, but I can't seem to find out if
it is part of XP or 2000, os is it standard software on 2000 server. Where do
I find it?

It's not part of Windows XP or Windows Pro 2000 - it runs on a server and is
included with Windows Server 2003
