Sorting Outook Addressbook according to e-mail.

In another Outlook (maybe Express) program I could sort the address book by
e-mail address or by name, whichever I wanted just by clicking on the title.  
Can this be done in Outlook?  If so, how?

No. What version are you using?
For current versions, go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change
existing directories or address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set
your sort order there
