Public folder contacts and Entourage 2004

Hello there,

I have read that Entourage 2004 cannot support public folder contacts. We
rely on these heavily and i have been told that a way round it is to use
directory services. Is this correct? If so how can i get all of the public
folder contacts to be listed in the LDAP search? At the moment i only get
contacts and users listed that are in AD.

Thanks for your help.

You would need to put the PF contacts into AD.

Thanks Sue, will this have to be done manually or is there an easier way to
do this? There are thousands of contacts in the PF.

Thanks again.

It could be scripted with a combination of CDO and ADSI. Or you could copy
all the PF contacts to a mailbox or .pst file folder and export from there
to a .csv file that could be imported into AD. There are also some good
third-party tools -- see http://www.slipstick.com/config/convaddr.htm
