how can I get outlook 2003 to automatically add people I reply to.

This isn't as automatic as I believe that you were shooting
for but, create a contact from an e-mail message you
receive. I'm not sure that you would want contacts created
for all SPAM receipts.

Open or preview the e-mail message that contains the name
you want to add to your contact list.

Right-click the name of the sender you want to make into a
contact, and then click Add to Contacts on the shortcut menu.
