I used to be able to start typing an e-mail address in the 'To' line and
Outlook would automatically bring up a list of options for me that woul
dallow me to choose the right e-mail adddress and, with one click, it would
finish and enter it in the 'To' line for me.  These were not necessarily
addresses held in my address book but any address that I had used in the
past.  This was already set up on my machine when I started and I am now
using a new machine but cannot seem to find this function anywhere.

Can anyone help me turn this on?   Many thanks!

Post your Outlook version. The feature only exists in Outlook 2002 and 2003.
It is enabled by default, but if you just started using this installation,
you won't see it working until you populate your autocompletion cache.
