How do you set up Outlook that you just type in the fax number in the "To:"
field and it faxes the message or attached doc.

Thank you.

I am currently using Outlook 2003. I remember using Outlook '98 at work and
all we did was type in the telephone # in the "To:" field to send a fax. I
wanted to set it up the same way.

Thank you.

You still failed to mention the Fax software you are using. If it's a
Microsoft Fax product, nothing has changed for the one-off fax number
format. It was never just the phone number. It was and is [Fax:nnnnnnn].

Sorry, I'm new to this..I thought Outlook had its own software. I didn't
realize that was the way it was set up.
I have Microsoft Fax Console. I believe at work they had Right-Fax.

Outlook 2003 has no fax software. It can integrate with either Windows 2000
Fax or Windows XP fax or one of the supported internet fax services. Both of
the Microsoft products would use the format I posted. Right Fax is third
party, so you'd have to ask them.

Hi,
> I have Microsoft Fax Console.

You mean that you are using WindowsXP and FAX console installed ?

If so, there is a way to send FAX with Outlook98 or 2000-2003 whichever.

First, check you have "FAX" opening "Printer and FAX" from Control
Panel and your FAX modem is hooked up to the telephone line.

Then you may make message with Outlook and "print" it selecting "FAX"
as a printer with the printing dialog, and follow the FAX wizard to send
it via FAX.

Hope this helps.
