Yesterday I forgot that MS fax could not fax jpg images and attempted to fax
some large jpeg files through Outlook which failed.

When I realized what I was doing wrong I converted the images to tif and
tried again in Outlook but now every time I try to fax I receive an error
message "run a DLL as an App has encountered a...". The error details list
rundll32.exe as the problem.

Please advise.

MS Fax? What do you mean by that? There is no information here. Read the
info here on how you fax attachments:

What I called MS Fax is the same program that uses the fax console.

The way I have been faxing using outlook is to start a new message to a
contact, select their fax number as the address. and drag and drop whatever
file (except jpegs) I want to fax them into the "Untitled Message" window.
Everything seemed to work until yesterday.

MS Fax has not existed since Windows 95/98. You are using Windows XP Fax and
the information I posted will answer your question.

Thanks. Yes windows XP Fax with Outlook 2002.

I was unable to identify a solution to this new problem in your post so I
used "detect and repair" in Outlook which seems to have corrected the
problem. Perhaps something became corrupt yesterday and now has been fixed.
Thanks again.
