Using Domino Connector and storing everything in a local .PST file

I've just stated using the Outlook Connector for Domino with my
Outlook 2003 client.  In the past, I was accustomed to  using Outlook
and Exchange, and I would have everything delivered to my local .PST
file, and not stored on the server.
Now I am in a new environment, using Notes 6.0.3 and Domino 6, and
would like to use Outlook 2003 with the Connector for Domino.  After
installing and configuring, it seems to work fine.  However, in my
Accounts setup, the option to "Deliver all new Email to This Location"
and selecting my local .PST file doesn't seem to want to "stick".
Everytime I startup Outlook, it alerts me that my default delivery
location has changed, and it reverts back to wanting to store
everything on the Domino server.

What I'd like is to have all email and calendar entries stored in my
local PST, as opposed to the Domino Server.  The calendar entries seem
to be the real pest, as no matter what I do, every time I make an
entry in my (local PST) calendar, it gets moved to the Server side
Calendar.  Any thoughts?

Thanks
Dan

Dan,

I'm in a similar situation.  One suggestion on the e-mail
side is to create an Outlook Rule to automatically move
all messages received in your Domino mailbox to your local
PST file.  Definitely a kludge but it may be the best you
can do.

I don't know how to address the difficulties with the
calendar.  Can you delete your Domino calendar from the
list of viewable calendars (e.g., right click it and
select "Delete Calendar"?  Would this enable your other
(local PST file) calendar to become the default???

Thanks Bill... Yes, I've done the rules, in order to move the mail
messages from the Server Inbox down to the local PST file.  Not great,
but not terrible.  I actually don't mind the email delivery too much,
becasue I move the messages as I file them anyway, into different
subfolders.  I just wish I could have the calendar entries default to
my local PST.

What would be really cool is if someone would develop
software to synchronize the Domino calendar with one
stored in a local PST file.  Kind of like ActiveSync
except the other message store is the local PST file not a
PocketPC.  Have you tried looking for OL calendar synching
utilities on other websites such as slipstick.com?  Again,
more pain than it should be but perhaps there is a third-
party tool that can help.
