I found this previous post in another group, and tried the intended solution
but it didn't work. I can't can establish a connection to the server even
though it works.
I have tried re-install of connector, numerous deletes and recreations of
the
profile.

The only thing that recently changed is that I had to renew my Notes
certificate and it started not working after that point.

Please help!!!

Paul

Previous thread:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm receiving the following error when starting Outlook 2003.
"A connection to the server can't be established. Check you network
connection, or contact you ser administrator"

I have installed the connector and set up a new profile through the
"Control Panel"

My Lotus Notes Client can connect to the Domino server but Outlook
2003 can not. My server name is entered automaticaly for me. The

server name is in this format "CN=xxxxxx/OU=SRV/OU=DEN/O=FDC".Any Help would
be greatly appreciated

Mike

     Mike,
Can you re-configure your Notes CLient once more and check if that
works
for you? Also, please do the following:-
     1. Search for a file called Notes.ini
     2. Take a Backup of it (IMPORTANT)
     3. Open the original Notes.INI and delete all the lines in it except
the
     first four
     4. Now open the Notes Client and reconfigure it. Once it is done.
     5. Try creating a fresh profile from Outlook and see if that works

Let us know if that doesn;t solve your problem
     Thanks

Anyone know how to read this and why my connector would be failing.....

Paul

Hi Paul,

I had a similar message when I closed Outlook after the initial
installation.

The issue was fixed by making sure that the nnotes.dll was in the PATH
system environment variable.

This may or may not help your problem.

Two tools that I use (very frequently!) are FileMon and RegMon from
Sysinternals - www.sysinternals.com.

If you run these up whilst filtering on "outlook" then you may be able to
solve your problem.

Good luck,
Geoff Thompson
