Hi

I want 2 provide a direct link to the Outlook address book from our
Intranet's global Navigation 2 facilitate contacting people, quickly and
easily - without needing 2 first activate Outlook.

No problem 2 folders but Global Address List seems elusive?

See the Address Book protects itself from programatically being opened.

However, I just want 2 open it via a link as if it had been popped up inside
Outlook, directly from our Intranet navigation, to facilitate finding people
quickly & easily.

You could use LDAP queries to the Exchange store, you could use CDO 1.21
code to get at the GAL. I've done both.

The best place for CDO 1.21 code samples is at www.cdolive.com/cdo5.htm.
www.cdolive.com/cdo10.htm has an invaluable collection of documented and
undocumented property tags.
