I'm trying to move from OE to Outlook and have the lattter set as default.  I
have other websites with email accounts that are forwarded to my home email.
Most of the forwarding is working but when I know a message is coming in and
I don't see it, I check OE after a couple of days and the wayward message
went to it instead of Outlook.

What am I missing in the setup?

If you don't run OE, it can't receive any messages.  If you must run it,
either disable the account downloading the messages, enable leaving copies
on the server so Outlook can get them as well.  FInally, you can choose to
uncheck the box that tells OE to include the account in a send/receive.
