Q: moving data from Outlook/OE5 to OE6

I'm helping a neighbor move files from her old machine (no-name PC
running Windows 2000 Professional) to her new machine (low-end Dell
running Windows XP Home).

She has several thousand e-mail messages and several hundred contacts
in Outlook Express 5 on the old machine (they have also been
transferred to Outlook 2000 on the old machine). What is the most
straightforward way to move the messages and contacts to Outlook
Express 6 on the new machine?  It seems that neither Outlook nor OE5
can export messages and contacts in any format that OE6 can read.

Constraints: the old machine does not have a CD writer; we cannot
network the old and new machines.

Workaround: we've moved the old machine to my house and plugged it into
my home Ethernet, so we can transfer files to a Macintosh with a CD
writer (we're also archiving lots of old files to CD).  Machines on the
home network run Mac OS X, Windows ME, and Red Hat Linux.  Only the Mac
can write CDs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Please respond to this group.
Thanks.
